Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - Today, we had our last block to work on our film techniques project. Please turn in if you haven't already. We also read the short story, The Veldt, by Ray Bradbury.

LA 8E - Today, you were given one last block to work on the film techniques project. Please turn it in to me as soon as you can.

Social 9A - No class today! Your  Political Party project is due Wednesday! Chapter 8 assessment - TOMORROW!
Iran Nuclear Deal CE due May 31st

Social 9E - Today, we completed some practice PAT questions.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
