Here's what we did today:

LA 8B - Today, we reviewed persuasive writing techniques in preparation for our written final on Tuesday!

LA 8E - Today, we watched Ray Bradbury Theater Presents The Veldt. We also read a second short story of his, All Summer in a Day. We will continue to work on the assigned questions on Monday. Written Final is Friday, June 8th.

Social 9A - Today, we presented our political party campaigns... we had a tie for most votes:

We also continued to work on the chapter 9 booklet.

Here's what we did today - 8B LA - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas. 8E LA - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. 9A Social - Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class. Political Cartoon analysis (on Google Classroom) due tomorrow! Here's what we did today - 8B LA - No class today due to assembly! Please continue working on the two projects for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). 8E LA - Today, we listened to chapter 10. Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks. Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E Social - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner.
