LA 8E - Today, we started working on our film techniques project in small groups. Due Monday.

Social 9A - No class today! Please make sure all Political Party group members are aware of what they need to be doing. Chapter 8 assessment - May 29th.

Here's what we did today: LA 8B - Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday). Here's what happened today: Social 8A and 8C: Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed. Social 8G: Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido. Social 9B: Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.
