Wednesday, May 16th

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - Today, we started watching the film, "9." We are collecting evidence to help develop symbols for each character.

LA 8E - Today, we continued watch the film "9" and gathered information to create symbols for each of the characters.

Social 9A -No class today!

Social 9E -Today, we continued to look at political parties and their platforms. Chapter 8 assessment May 22nd.
Grade 9s - Galaxyland Activity Day (June 1st) permission forms are on Powerschool. Please be sure to fill it out and pay by May 25th to guarantee your spot for this fantastic day!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
