Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we wrote a test for The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

LA 8E - Today, we wrote a test for The Boy in the Striped Pajamas  and had our free reading block. We will start a writing assignment tomorrow.

Social 9A - Today, we continued talking about Health Care in Canada. We also started watching the documentary, Sicko. Please be sure that you are done the assigned questions in the booklet.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
