Here's what we did today: 

8A  -  Today, we started looking at the growth of 3 city-states in Italy; we focused on Florence today and will continue learning more tomorrow.

9B - Today, we talked about current political parties in Canada. We did some research to find out who the leaders are and a little bit about each party.

Monday, December 18th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we started watching the film version of The Giver and are completing an activity comparing it to the book. Please  continue working on The Giver chapter questions and the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we finished The Outsiders! We will start the movie tomorrow. Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-11) and your TIC TAC TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - Today, we focused on the individual rights and freedoms that we are guaranteed under the Charter (p. 96-98). We stared creating a poster of these rights (due Thursday) and will have a quiz on them (also on Thursday!) Please make sure that you keep up with the chapter booklet!
