TGI... Friday, October 5th

Here's what we did today: 

8A  -  Today, we watched a documentary on the first Crusade. Please be sure you have added notes to your study guide and worked on your vocabulary tracking sheet! 
CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th. 

8C - Today, we watched a documentary on the first Crusade. Please be sure you have added notes to your study guide and worked on your vocabulary tracking sheet! 
CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th. 

8G - Today, we looked at the role of the Islamic civilization in spreading ideas. (p.18) We also started to work on our chapter 1 vocabulary activities.
CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th.  

9B - Today, we talked about the Senate and the role of Senators. Make sure that you are caught up on your booklet questions. 
CRA Scam Current Event due October 11th

Important Dates coming up: 
Monday, October 8th - No School (Thanksgiving)
Thursday, October 18th - Parent Teacher Conferences 5-8pm
Me to We: We Scare Hunger Drive (Food bank donations) - October 1st to October 31st

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
