Here's what we did today: 

8A  -  Today, we watched a video about how Florence became the center of the Renaissance and gathered evidence from the text (p.34026) about their political/economic systems, culture and social systems.

8G - Today, we read pages 29-32 about how city-states started to grow. Make sure that you are done up to question 41 in your chapter 1 booklet.

9B - Today, we discussed the role of Aboriginal groups in government decision making. We read an article about the act of reconciliation.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
