Here's what we did today: 

8A  - Today, we worked on our chapter 1 project - The Greatest Italian City-state!
Chapter 1 Test - Tuesday, November 6th
Ebola Outbreak Current Event due October 31st 

8C -  Today, we worked on our chapter 1 project - The Greatest Italian City-state!

8G - Today, we read about the city-state of Genoa and worked on our chapter questions. You should be done ALL questions in the booklet for Monday.   Chapter 1 Test Wednesday, November 7th
Ebola Outbreak Current Event due October 31st 

9B - Today, we continued working on our chapter 1 slides project and studied for our chpater 1 test. Chapter 1 Test - TOMORROW!
Ebola Outbreak CE due November 5th. 

 Important Dates coming up: 
Me to We: We Scare Hunger Drive (Food bank donations) - October 1st to October 31st
Thursday, November 1st - No School - PD Day 
Wednesday, November 7th - Early Dismissal 
Monday, November 12th - No School: Remembrance Day

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
