Monday, October 15th

Here's what we did over the past few days... 
*I was away at a conference Thursday and Friday! 

8A  -  Today, we talked about The Black Plague. We will continue tomorrow. Quiz on what we have done so far on WEDNESDAY! 
Last week we looked at the social structure during the Middle Ages: The Feudal System. 
Indonesian Earthquake Current Event due October 16th.

8G - Today, we talked about the social structure during the Middle Ages: The Feudal System. We also started to work on our chapter 1 vocabulary activities.

9B - Today, we reviewed how a bill becomes a law and completed some activities in our booklets.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
