Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - Today, we continued working on our song analysis. Please make sure you are looking at the analysis structure and including everything that you need.

LA 8E - No class today! Please make sure you are looking at the analysis structure and including everything that you need in your song analysis. Due Monday!

Social 9A - Today, we continued to work on our collective rights project - you discussed your reactions to the Secret Path video with a partner and started to research what residential schools were. Please catch up if needed!
China Ivory Ban CE DUE January 26th (ALL Q2 Current Events due Fri Jan 26th)

Social 9E - Today, we watched a documentary on Residential Schools and completed a personal reflection. You also had time to catch up on your notes - you should be done up until page 5 in your booklet!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
