Welcome Back!

Happy New Year! 
I hope everyone was able to have an enjoyable and restful Christmas Break! 

We are back in the grind and getting back into our daily routine of working hard. Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - we wrote in our journals and reflected on 2017 and made goals/resolutions for 2018. 

LA 8E - No class today! See you tomorrow :) 

Social 9A - we continued looking at individual rights and freedoms under our Charter. We read pages 100-103 about historical events that contributed to the Charter. Please catch up on questions in your booklet. 

Social 9E - we reviewed the 5 categories of rights and freedoms and spoke about The Indian Act of 1876.

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st!
