LA 8B - Today, we worked on a spelling unit (review words) and completed a reading comprehension on Arctic Foxes. Please complete both for Thursday if not done yet. *Bring duotangs back to class!

LA 8E - Today, we finished the reading comprehension quiz and started working on our grammar practice booklet - please have unit 8 completed for Thursday. *Bring booklets back to class!

Here's what we did today - 8B LA - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas. 8E LA - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. 9A Social - Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class. Political Cartoon analysis (on Google Classroom) due tomorrow! Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks. Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E Social - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner.
